Rohit Kapoor is the CEO for the India and South Asia businesses of one of India’s most heavily funded start-ups—the hospitality chain OYO. He was previously the CEO of OYO’s New Real Estate Business division, where he led the company’s foray into co-living spaces.
His intuitive understanding of the financial services business added great value to his nearly decade-long stint at consulting firm McKinsey & Company, which he joined in November 2000. His ability to spot young talent and understand their motivations made him an important part of McKinsey’s recruitment team.
Rohit has also worked with the Max Group for six years, first as a senior director for strategy and business performance for the insurance business of Max Life, and then as an executive director with Max Healthcare.
Passionate about the learning and development function and convinced of its transformative value, Rohit has been involved with it in various capacities.
Rohit’s fascination with the new and exciting has led him to become an angel investor in a wellness brand, a co-living start-up and a technology-driven financing platform for SMEs. He is also visiting faculty at a couple of reputed business schools.
