Thrive Skills are an essential set of cognitive, social and behavioral skills to enable our learners to continuously succeed, at every stage of their career.
A Multi-Disciplinary Approach involves drawing appropriate information from multiple disciplines to redefine problems outside of normal boundaries and reach solutions based on a new understanding of complex situations. It is the ability to understand things from multiple perspectives and to embrace diversity.
A Multi-Disciplinary Approach opens new avenues and helps form a unique mindset when tackling problems or coming up with ideas. Taking inspiration from one source can become monotonous and ineffective. It is when a person takes a multi-disciplinary perspective that they’re able to truly innovate and come up with creative ideas and solutions.
A multi-disciplinary perspective or a multi-disciplinary working style can be developed by an individual at any stage of their career. To develop a multi-disciplinary working style a person needs to be open to new ideas and should be able to learn from past experiences. All of this is possible with the right tools and frameworks that ensure a lifelong multi-disciplinary working style.
Organizations can ensure a Multi-Discipline Approach among employees by encouraging collaboration between different teams and departments. It is only when diverse perspectives are brought to the table that a problem can be looked at in a multi-disciplinary way and can be solved faster.
The Harappa program that focuses on Multi-Disciplinary Approach as a Thrive Skill is the Powerful Presence Program.
