Break The Delusion To #BreakTheBias
Women continue to encounter challenges in many facets of society — especially when it comes to advancing in the workplace. Knowing that this bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field. And so, on the heels of International Women’s Day on March 8, we at Harappa seek your pledge to make office tables more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
Rethink Targets #RethinkAppraisals
Every year, the season of appraisal is marred by perceived unfairness, loss of trust and thorny conflict. Both parameters and the outcomes to evaluate them become sources of disagreement, leading to reduced job satisfaction and higher attrition. And so, we ask a key question: Isn’t it time to agree on targets that both managers and their teams can be in sync with?
“We expect women to work like they don’t have children and raise children as if they don’t work.” Amy Westervelt Little wonder then that women feel guilty — for working and for not caring for their children enough. This Mother’s Day, we seek your pledge to help end the guilt so that mothers who choose to work outside of their homes can unleash their ambitions.

In comparison, paternity benefits for new fathers remains arbitrary to a private employer’s internal policies. While mothers get enough time to truly cherish the experience, arbitrary paternity leave policies don’t give new fathers enough time to absorb this new role that they have to play.
